John Glyn Matthies
Managing Director and Executive Chairman

John is the Founder and senior partner of legal firm, John Matthies & Co, which he established over 30 years ago. John has extensive experience in property and mortgage finance. He is currently a director of companies involved in property investment and development, the mortgage investment industry, primary production, aged care, Australian Rules football and the equestrian industry.

John is a qualified lawyer and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in March 1975.

Peter Hedley Gibbs
Non-executive Director

Peter has over 30 years experience in banking and funds management, including six years as State Manager for Mercantile Mutual Finance (now part of ING Group).

From 1996 to 2003 Peter was contracted to the Challenger/Howard Group to establish, develop and manage its commercial lending operations in Victoria and was most recently a director and the Chief Investment Officer for Affinity Funds Management.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Business degree, with an accounting major.

Robert John Turner
Non-executive Director

Rob was Managing Director of IOOF Holdings for eight years until April 2004. During this period, IOOF successfully underwent a major strategic change, demutualised and listed on the ASX in December 2003.

Rob has a strong finance and marketing background and 30 years experience in corporate management both in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining IOOF as Group Managing Director, he held general management positions in the services and manufacturing industries.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a fellowship member of the AICD.

Paul Francis Hyland
Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer

Paul is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Business degree and over 30 years experience in accounting, audit, banking and finance.

Paul has an extensive management and commercial background and is responsible for the operational and financial management of VMIL.

Duncan Charles Pelham-Webb
Non-executive Director

Duncan is the senior associate of John Matthies & Co and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in April 1978.

Duncan has extensive experience in the documentation of mortgage loans and real estate transactions.

Anthony Paul Hodges
Non-executive Director

Tony is highly credentialed, with a wealth of experience in the finance sector. He has held many senior positions since joining the IOOF Group 25 years ago. Tony is currently the Chief Investment Officer for the Group, as well as Chairman of the IOOF Investment Management Limited Investment Committee.

Tony is a Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australia; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Senior Fellow of FINSIA, and for the period 1987 – 2006, was Principal Lecturer in the field of Applied Portfolio Management at the Securities Institute of Australia .
